The story

Hailing from the coastal Delta hubs of Desouk and Nabrouh, Feseekh is the centerpiece of Sham En-Nessim, an ancient spring festival celebrating renewal. The traditional salt-master (fasakhani) relies on generational instinct to judge the exact hydration and salinity of fresh sea-run mullet. This ancestral preservation method transforms the oily flesh into a buttery, intensely aromatic delicacy prized by Egyptians nationwide.
